But the Lord was not in the wind...
not in the earthquake...
not in the fire...
but in a gentle whispering sound.
I Kings 19:11-12

I have been involved with Music Ministry in the Catholic Church since the 70's, and currently a cantor at St. Ephrem Catholic Community in Sterling Heights, Michigan.  I've had the pleasure of studying voice with Prof. Jim Turner of Kalamzoo College, and enjoyed singing in several groups over the years, including The Kalamazoo Bach Festival, the Detroit Oratorio Society and the Metropolitan Detroit Chorale.  However it wasn't until the 90's that I began writing music - mostly as private expressions of my relationship with the Lord.  Life being what it is (busy) the idea of composing songs to record and share with others was never a serious consideration of mine, yet the Lord has a way of helping us rise to the opportunities He prepares for us.  Through encouragement of family, friends, and music associates, along with the desire to share my faith, and the "good things" the Lord has done in my life, the writing of my first CD entitled "Hopeful Silence", came very naturally over a period of months in 2008.  Most dear to me in this  CD is "The Lost Ones".  I really feel this song was a direct and nearly instantaneous inspiration from the Holy Spirit, which came to me one evening after watching a music video on the internet showing a funeral service for aborted babies, in the Archdiocese of Detroit, whose bodies had been rescued from the trash behind a local abortion clinic.  This song seemed to well up and pour out of my heart.  My hope is that, The Lost Ones, can play a part in energizing and inspiring others to take a stand for the unborn, especially those who would say they are personally opposed to abortion, but feel that others should have a 'choice'.  After attending the 2007 March for Life, and seeing the images of the frail, lifeless, mutilated bodies of these little aborted children, it's inconceivable to me that anyone can consider allowing a 'choice' for abortion to be a good thing, let alone a right.  Perhaps it's true that they 'turn their eyes away' and the reality of what really takes place is something they choose to keep out of their consciousness.  Please prayerfully search your heart and listen to what the Lord is asking you to do for this cause.
Please pray daily for the end to legalized abortion in our country.
